What year is Larkrise supposed to be set in ?
Also do the villages or Larkrise and Candleford exist? If so where are they?

has a lot of details. The villages exist (maybe idealised in the book) under other names.

I don't think it's really a specfic year - 1880s/90s are the decades the author was growing up and it's an autobigraphy of sorts.
