I get so angry when I see adds for beds or 3 piece suits.......why do they show children jumping pn them.

Adults even with boots and shoes on beds and suites.

Showing this on TV is a signal that its ok to do this,

quite agree with you droop, it annoys me as well, when my kids were small they would'nt of dreamt of jumping on the furniture, they knew they would have got what for.

My personal bugbear is when the show the beds in a home setting and they have no sheets, covers or pillows on them.
