Head injury?

My friend just informed me that when drunk on Friday night I passed out and hit my head off of a wooden bed frame. I was out for around 2 minutes, woke up then went to sleep.
I don't remember any of it but it wasn't the alcohol. I remember everything up until a couple of minutes before I passed out then I don't remember anything at all until the next morning.
I've been having headaches since Friday.
Was just wondering if it's worth getting checked out or do you think that if it had caused any lasting damage it would be evident by now?
Thanks.

Hi Hometownglory,

If you've been having headaches since Friday, and bearing in mind you passed out too, i would call your doctor immediately for an appointment, to which he may refer you to hospital for checks, or just go to A&E now, and tell them what happened. They may carry out tests on you to see if any damage caused. Also odd that you cant remember anything too.

Why have you left it so long to do something about it?

Get it sorted out, so you'll have peace of mind.

Best of luck to you.

p.s Let us know how you are, if you can, please
4 days have elapsed since the head injury.

Anything acute, needing immediate treatment would have shown up by now.

If your headaches persist for more than another week, or you get drowsy or vomit, then seek medical help.

At the moment, the situation should be just monitored.

yogi, I left it this long because I didn't know it happened until the other day wehn my friend told me, I have no recollection of it happening.

Thanks sqad, I've got an appointment at the doctor anyway on Monday so I'll say to him then if the headaches keep up, by that point it'll have been a week and two days since I hit my head.
