Hi Supapapa,

You can transfer your hard drive information through a special cable that allows a one-time-only transfer of data.

I think you get one free when you buy the Xbox Elite console, so if your son has a new Elite then you may be in luck, if not have a browse on the web for an "Xbox Hard Drive Transfer Kit".

More information on the kir can be found here:

http://www.xbox.com/e...ole/datamigration.htm

If you don't want to fork out for a transfer kit then you can take the hard drive from your old Xbox and put it into the new one. All you have to do is press the button on the top (or side, depending on which way your Xbox sits) next to the hard drive to disconnect it, then pop it into the other machine.

This does mean that you will have one hard drive spare!

In my opinion (and experience) the transfer kit is the best way to go. There are a number of licensing issues that you can't get around if you simply take the hard drive and put it into the other Xbox. Downloaded games and other content will not work as they are licensed to a specific Xbox model, rendering them unplayable (unless you go through each piece of content on your Xbox and re-license it, which can takes ages).

Hope this helps!

Ed
You got your son an X Box?
You really are a Supa-papa...

I recently got an X-Box, too.
Tried putting it up on the side, something got messed up, everything went haywire.
Game wouldn't work.
We got a new one from Argos but lost all our save data!

I'll use the ed's advice next time...
