I have lots of info eg contacts and calendar stored on my iphone but would like to be able to initially transfer the info to my laptop so that after that I can synchronise the info between both on a regular basis. What is the best way to do this?

Someone told me about MobileMe, is this the best solution?

Thanks.

PS - I also use Outlook on my laptop for tasks and cant transfer this onto my iphone as I believe the 2 aren't compatible. Would MobileMe have a tasks programme that would be similar to outlook but would allow me to synchronise?

PPS - I am pretty new at this so go easy on me please!!

Itunes will do that.

eh chuck?
Do you mean that it does it without using MobileMe? and if so, how does it do it?
I had a look but it wasn't obvious to me.
Mobileme lets you sync the phone without actually plugging it into the computer, Itunes will sync contacts and calenders with outlook 2003 and 2007 on its own with no further software required.
