When I try to edit my host file using go to folder, the host file is an Alias and when I double click it I get the old original can not be found. Any ideas?, this has never been a problem before, I have done it many times on previous OS.

Thanks fo3nix in advance, and anyone else for an answer

If you have recently upgraded to 10.6, this resets the hosts file so may have broken the alias. Either go back to the original etc/hosts file and create a new alias or edit the hosts file via terminal command $ sudo nano /private/etc/hosts

Thanks Milvus, forgot to say already tried that, tried in Root as well, just get -bash: $: command not found. Really annoying, I'm having to use little snitch, which is like cracking a nut with a sledge hammer
