Tesco still have it (Knorr version)

I agree with androcles, onion soup is much better home-made. The only problem is the crying with peeling and cutting up of onions so frozen sliced onions would be an option. I find replacing the wine with lager gives a nicer taste.
Also nice made with dark brown ale!! It's so easy to make and so much nice.
I never liked french onion soup until I tried some homemade stuff - OMG, there's no turning back, it's lovely with toasted french bread slices with melted cheese.....mmmmmmm
(I prefer it without wine)

thanks for all your suggestions, iagree homemade tastes much better.
i found a recipe (take 4 ingredients)for honey baked chicken which sounded yummy and needed a pkt of french onion suop to mix a cup of white wine.
Had already tried Tesco and Waitrose and had no luck so i will try the other supermarkets or even experiment with a tin of onion soup
