Take up smoking.
Remind yourself just how stressed you feel when you've eaten too much! Cut down on the food = cut down on the stress.
Willpower, lock your food up a bit, get involved in a hobby, do crosswords, chew gum, don't have chocolate or snacks or crisps or biscuits in the house, drink plenty of water. Also, none of this works for me! you got to have plenty of willpower.
Sounds daft - but try cleaning your teeth!!
Have a glass of water before eating. You will be surprised how well this works.
The best cure for stress that I have found is to go to the gym and do something physical. A workout will do, martial arts is better and swimming, if like me you end up swallowing half the pool, is really effective. You end up energised and having burned off some calories too. You could just go for a walk...
I meant to say that swallowing half the swimming pool water fills you up so you're not hungry rather than leaves you energised! You can guess my technique is more avoiding drowning than stylish swimming.
Try taking your mind off it. Read a book, have a long bath or anything else you enjoy doing. You could always get fruit and veggies like apples or carrots to have a chomp on, if you want to be a bit healthier.
