Wage levels

The firm that I work for has announced that it is going to restructure the wages paid to the hourly paid workers. Some staff are going to get an increase but some will have money taken away. If their jobs have not changed can their wages legally be reduced? The wage levels are not included in their contract of employment

yes, wages can be reduced. Employees have the usual 2 choices.
