Mustard, I won my replies, not sure what you are on about there.

I simply respond to your style of stating something with an implied condition attached that seems to say "if you don't agree with that you must be mad" type attitude.

Take this very Question
"Curtain twitchy, anger making petty whingy whiney insideous rag that it is! "

now you could have written, do you think the Mail is a Curtain twitchy, anger making petty whingy whiney insideous rag?

But no you decides the corret answer up front.

Now tell me who among us can resist challenging such arrogance?

R1 Ok, by "own" I mean I take it as obvious that this is just my opinion. That's why I said "you can attach an "IMO" to the end of the title lines of those posts if it makes you feel any better".
I expect you're likely to say something like "too late now" in response to this, but better late than never.
Arrogance? can't you see that there is an edge of humour to it? Anyway, like I said -only my opinion -could be *right, could be wrong.
(*no pun intended)
Jake, had a quick look, I'll do it tonight as my employer is keen I do some work!
:c)

Here's the answer paper

Lazy cournalists like to pick questions from the begining - the questions tend to get progressively harder. They also compare questions from the foundation papers (roughly the old CSE) to O level papers.

This way it's easy to make it look as if standards have dropped.

Basically they play people for fools.

Have a go at the paper and see how you do - don't just do the first questions though - they're the easy ones.
It's well fair enough, the education thing was just small part of the general rant, no point me doing it now as you've given out the answers. The point is what effect would unchecked leftism have? I accept the tabloids go over the top and cherry pick but they do act as a brake.
fair enough, just tell me where I've not "owned" my replies?
I go in there just to pi** them off by disagreeing with them.
I think I hold a record for the most red arrows on an artical comment thread.
Is there no such word as "righties" because left-wingers are too intelligent to have bothered creating such a nonsense-concept?
Re "righties" above, I should have added 'in recent usage', as it did at one time exist. Perhaps it is just that the left-wingers grasped much more readily - than the right-wingers did re 'lefties' - that it was just plain silly. It must be odd living your life hedged around with Sun and Mail mantras...an occasional original thought wouldn't go amiss.
/// Is there no such word as "righties" because left-wingers are too intelligent to have bothered creating such a nonsense-concept? ///

'Left-Wingers', too intelligent now that's a laugh.

These are the people who call right-wingers (anyone that disagrees with their views) Nazis, Fascists, Racists etc. etc.

If they were intelligent, they would realise that it is thanks to them, that the whole social structure of this country is now in it's present mess.
I rather suspect, Anoth, that were you to survey all British university senior common-rooms you would find far more left-wingers than right-wingers. A bunch of thickoes, eh?
Unchecked Conservatism = Bangladesh !
