thanks everybody for your help,

Just wondering....does anyone know if opener is the correct answer to 69a, I cannot get the connection to the clue.....I now think that 64d is Anthony, which means that opener fits.....but I would like to know the reasoning to it!!!......thanks again.
Opener is definitely right, as the first 2 batsmen in cricket are called the openers.
So is Anthony, being first in ANTHONY Daly and finish in Algernon ANTHONY, a jockey
112 across Ladies First on capital streets? E_T_ _R - I think esther? anyone else?
108a and 92d i also have little maestro, maestro being cantona think ken is a reference to Ken loach's film Looking for Cantona.
I wouild appreciate if anyone could help with 72d r_e_ _e and has anyone else got Steve for 82a sounds to easy.
yes got Esther for that one too. I think it has something to do with Dublin city marathon
72d should start with N, its pretty easy then.
