"claustrophobia" - inside your own body and skin...?

I use the work claustrophobia for want of something better... but I am absolutely fine in lifts, in small spaces, in crowds etc...the only time i have a problem is if i cannot move my arms or if i was in a tight tunnel/vent type thing... ( i went nuts once when an ex boyfriend rolled me up in a duvet for a laugh...!)

this sound like normal, mild claustrophobia - however

i also get this bizarre unbearable sensation and feel i have to raise my arms, part my fingers and legs and toes, so that no skin is touching....

i get this if i even think about it - but also mainly when doing fiddly small jobs such as rethreading my sewig machine or something...

my biggest fear is either being kidnapped - and kept in box, or being in a building collapse and having to crawl through tunnels to escape - weird that that is the things that worries me most about those two scenarios...

anyone else get this...? i know it sounds weird, but surely im not the only one...

i have considered past lives and having been buried alive or trapped or something...as i aso dont like things round my neck and im always rubbing and stretching it.
thanks

I'm similar. I sit next to my BF on the sofa and if I can't move my foot straight away I start to panic.
Definitely get it with fiddly things, have to scrunch my toes up and rub my between my fingers (and if it's really bad behind my knees and the 'inside' of my elbow) am having to do it now just thinking about it! Also get quite bad if I have something around my neck that's snug, ok with scarves but can't stand it if am in bed and the duvet is snug around my neck!
Think back to when you were a child....did something unusual happen where you might have been trapped in a small space etc?

Am not sure what age you are, but if you cant remember, ask your parents to see if they can think of anything.
I'd say it's perfectly normal and reasonable not to fancy the idea of being trapped or confined. What you need to do however is not dwell on it too much - unlikely to ever happen. We all have our own daft quirks - I get the feeling I'm suffocating if I face into a strong wind, and that then makes me panic. All I can suggest about past lives is it's a matter of personal belief, but we all have so many ancestors that they are bound to have met their ends in dozens of different ways, peaceful and violent. Maybe thinking about your ancestor who died of too much luxury might chase the dark thoughts away!
