In the first All Colour Cookbook by Hamlyn there was a recipe for a sweet which had a biscuit base of ginger biscuits and the topping of cream and lemon. Does anyone, anywhere have it?

There is a lemon flan here.

It's a 1970 Hamyln recipe but with digestive biscuits. Sounds good.Might just have a go myself.

I've got a Hamlyn cookery course book but to be honest, there's so much in there - a name would be good to look for in the index (if it's there) I've had a quick look but I'd have to go through all the ingredients (there's 600 plus!!!)

Thanks for your time and trouble JD. It could have been called lemon crunch. I seem to remember it had lemon zest and juice with whipped double cream on a base of ginger biscuits mixed with melted butter. However if you don´t have that they also had a recipe for apple scone which was also delicious. Needless to say, I don´t have the recipe for that either!!!
I found this one - you can substitute ginger biscuits for the digestives and cream for the quark easily enough.
