Not a question just a rant. BF has gone out. He said he feels that the walls are closing in on him (despite the fact that he went out yesterday and today, whereas I have left the house only to deliver jump leads to him yesterday - otherwise I have been home working) and he has left me alone with number one daughter tonight. We had a nice tea and she watched Waterloo Road. Now she wants to watch a DVD. But all we get is a blue screen of death and no dvd!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would text him, but I confiscated his phone after his ex started sending *** messages which were winding him up! We can't work the bloody stereo either.

I hate to say this, but I really want a man right now.

I feel I should be answering about the dvd problem now :(

But BM, I think that your boyfriend has gotten very used to his own space and his own little "bubble in life". So I'd think he is having trouble adjusting to you living there, I think you need to back down a bit and give him time to adjust rather that pushing things so much.

I am very worried about the fact you have confiscated his phone, to me that would scream a lack of trust and I am sorry (I did ask if I can be honest) but I think you need to chill out a little, It sounds to me like you are trying to take to much control of his life before he is ready (or he just doesn't want any one to take that level of control!)

now what was the problem with the DVD :)
have to agree with chuck there and not just because he is hunky
I wouldn't let anyone confiscate my phone, and I'd be furious if any one tried to.

You are right Chuck. It is a period of adjustment that I am not used to either.

The only reason I nicked his phone is cos he and his ex are having a huge row about contact and he says things that he did not ought to say when he is in drink. I know he is going to be drinking tonight so I thought it best that he didn't take his phone cos she will then exhibit his drunken (albeit well meant) texts before the DJ as she has done before. He has the ability to say stupid but well meant things, but they do not serve him well at the subsequent contact battle. He is passionate about his children (which I can readily understand), but sometimes he does not help himself. I have far too many years' experience of appearing before District Judges to know that one drunken stupid text can completely bugger your application. So what I did I did thinking I was doing it for the best - but you are completely right. Perhaps I got it wrong tonight.
