I want to keep my combi boiler on 24hrs at the moment to save pipes freexing etc. is it advisable to turn boiler to say 30% and leave rads up high? or to turn rads lower and have boiler at 50%

what pipes are you worried about freezing? pipes indoors are very unlikely to freeze as long as the heating is on a wee bit every day/night.
If your worried about cost to run while you are away, set the frost setting on the thermostat and/or rads.
any help?

ooh thanks iggle again
Its also so the place doesnt cool down too much by putting heating off it took me hours to regain heat today with it being off even for 6 hrs

I used to set my central heating to 15 degrees C night and day, and just ran a little portable blower heater in the room I was using. Call me tight but it saved me money!
Now I have kids I have a digital thermostat that sets temperature down to 17 degrees at night, then up to 21 degrees in the daytime. These digital thermostats are about £28 and probably save their own cost in bills.
