Should it be mandatory for yachtsmen to have insurance protection against rescue? Around Britain a sailor cost 5000 last week & Stan Bullimore cost a million in search & rescue.

as an ex mariner of 37 years at sea the lifeboats andRNLI have been close to my heart.I understand its reluctance to take government aid but agree that all "SAILORS" should pay some insurance premium towards the cost, after all it costs over a quarter of a million pounds a day just to keep the RNLI "afloat"
