////'. Every family is different. (I don't even really understand the concept of 'grief'. I've lost close friends and family members, including both my parents, and I've never grieved for anyone. I've just carried on as normal, usually refusing to attend funerals, which I regard as completely pointless. But I accept that others are different). /////

I saw this answer of yours on a S&C question and I admired your honesty, as it is not easy to swim against the tide on AB.

I thought that I was the only person that couldn't grieve and when you tell this, most people think that you are some sort of "oddity". I never knew my father, but my mother died 2yrs ago and although I admired her as a woman.......I didn't shed a tear and within 24hours, life was as normal.

You have my admiration for admitting it on AB.

sqad is detached emotionally, that is why he does not feel anything. I can believe every shocking thing I have heard from him talking about his wife and kids
I think threads like this can get dangerously personal..................hence comment No. 1 on this thread ! :o(

Yes I have & I'm sure he 'loves' them. But then again, define love for me? Isn't love a different emotion for everone? Do we all experience love with the same intensity? Does 'love' mean one thing to one and something different to someone else? As one person is romantic & a partner isn't?

Noknow...........I would leave it if I were you.

People have different ways of behaving and whilst some comments on CB have had me shaking my head in a combination of shock and repugnance.

But berating them on these pages will have little effect, I'm sure.
