In V+ Recordings, 4 V+ Extras, 1 Copy to VCR/DVD - I know you have to record onto your digi box first but then how do you actually record onto a video tape?

It should say in the manual.
I think you need to connect both machines with a scart or co axiol lead. You need to allocate a channel. I use ch5 but I have a Sky+ box which might be different.
It's good fun fiddling about. Very trial and error!
As Tallulah says, then play what is recorded on the V hard Drive & whilst it is showing on the TV screen, change TV to the channel you normally watch VCR/DVD on, then tune your recording equipment ( see VCR/DVD manual ) until you can see the prog on screen.
