hi this is my first thread so please help me i have been with my partner for over 10 yrs he beat me up and was arrested and charged with abh and is on bail his conditions are to have no contact via third party etc
the social services came to see me and spoke to me and my daughter band was happy with what she saw and heard and said she would send me a copy of the report. the thing is i now want to withdraw my statement if i do this can they still use the photos of the injuries as evidence.and will social services see me as a risk again,
he is pleading guilty to the charges

All heart and no brains
Although I agree with you to some extent ahmskunnirt it's not as easy as that. In some cases fear takes over and they let the culprick back.

I was assaulted by my ex on a few occasions...the police didn't even give me the option to press charges. They just took him away from the family house and dropped him off at his mates...and I never heard from them again. That was after getting a 999 call from a child.

Shabnam...there sre different types of social workers. If they are happy with you and your child they will allocate a family support worker. These social workers do not deal with kids at risk but try and help families get their life back on track.

The male officer dealt with him and the female officer dealt with me. She looked at me like I was scum. Looking back I should have made a complaint because with an attitude like hers it doesn't make it easier to leave.

I left anyway and happily watched his downfall...
