I keep getting a yellow badge icon with an exclamation symbol inside it on my task bar every time I power on my laptop - I think it is to do with Windows XP updates.  When I put the curser over it nothing comes up and I cannot right click it either.  I don't seem to be able to get windows updates (ever since I loaded up SP2) - does anybody else have this problem?  Many thanks!

The symbol you refer to is the Microsoft badge which indicates that your computer has downloaded some programme updates and is waiting for a response from you to install them. Click on the 'badge' and then click ok and your computer will be updated.
