we were so pleased with our bramley apples this year, they look wonderful, but when peeled the flesh is full of brown spots right down to the core and look horrible and unusable, there is no sign of the spots on the skin, does anyone know whats wrong with them.

Bramleys are susceptible to Bitter Pit and Scab and could be due to the dry spell we had early on, when the apples were developing. It could also be a chemical imbalance in the roots.Perhaps if you e-mail the RHS they could help with advice for next years crop.
