personally i like prawns, tomato sauce, mayonnaise, dash of worcester mix it all up sprinkle paprika on top.
Tuna mayonnaise with a couple of prawns on top. Devilled Egg with a tiny bit of mayo for moistness all mashed together. Not exactly "posh" but they're my favourites.
chopped cold roast beef stirred up in mayo and chilli sauce or horseradish sauce, coronation chicken (stir chopped chicken into a jar of bought sauce, asparagus and mayo or hollondaise sauce (bought, natch), a squirt of dairlea and a cherry tomato, chopped lean ham bound together with mango chutney.
oh and hard boiled egg mashed up with mayonnaise, top with a little smoked salmon

Wow, thanks! Vol au vent cases are cooling, and I've got most of the ingredients to make these already in stock. I think I'll have a go at Tracy's prawns, Constantine's devilled egg mayo mix, and Woofgang's beef/horseradish and asparagus/mayo. If you'd care to return to this page in a day or two, I'll let you know how I got on!
my goodness savik, you cut it fine, what if nobody had answered??? :-)

Update: ALL the fillings I tried were a success, if the rate of disappearance of the vol au vents was anything to go by - all gone within 20 minutes! And the left-over mixture (I rather overestimated how much of each I'd need) made super sandwich fillings. Thanks, everyone!
Hi, does anyone know where i can buy the coronation chicken sauce?
