My 12 week old kitten had his injections on friday afternoon, since then he hasnt really played, not even after his ping pong ball!
He has just slept nearly all the time.
Thing is that he was abandoned a week ago, he wasnt chiped and vet said if already had injections it didnt matter if have again but he is different, not sure if being paranoid.
any advice would be appreciated.
thanks

He is still very young --a baby really , and he may be in a state of shock to the system as it were.Let him sleep I am sure he will be fine. Animals have a remarkable way of recovering from things themselves by just getting their head down and sleeping.Try if you can not to worry and just let him rest.Just make sure that he is comfortable and give him a very gentle stroke and word from time to time.Being abandoned is no fun either for an animal and he may need a little time to get over this trauma as well. Please let us know how he gets on if you can.The very best of luck to the little one.

I've had 5 kittens in all over the years and they all became quiet and sleepy after their jags - even human babies are sleepy and grouchy after theirs. He should perk up in a couple of days or so, don't worry, as long as he's eating etc.
Question Author
took him to the vets tonight as he seems to have been getting worse.
He had a really high temp (over 40 vet said)
vet gave him some anti flams and anti bitoics.
already he seems more perky, he even played with his ping pong a little bit!!
got to take him back weds to check temp.
Vet said that it wasnt necessary the jabs but he might have already had a virus from his mum and the jabs might have stirred it up again, anyway i think thats how he explained it!
thanks for all your replies.
