for a weeks or so, the washing machine has been making holes in our clothes so today, my dad took it apart (he's a plumber and knows about electrics aswell so chilax) and after a few hours and the washingmachine literally in pieces and unrecognisable as a washing machine, he found something that looked like a wire for a bra. But i checked all of mine, and non are missing and mum hasn't worn a wired one for months. And we havent washed anyone elses clothes. What else could it be?

Could it be from a ladies swimming costume?

hhmmm. . . i checked my bikini but i'm not sure if mum checked her swimming costume. But thinking about it, she hasn't worn it since august, and the problem only occured last week.
Bra wires are pretty recognisable by their size & the rounded ends which prevent them poking holes in the bra fabric (although some still escape :o) ). Maybe it's been in there for a long time & has just dislodged itself & started causing a problem? It's best to handwash wired items or use a very fine mesh laundry bag.
Sharp ends to the wire suggest it could be part of a wire ring....?

a wire ring from what? we've checked all our bras and cossies and bikinis and non of them are missing a wire.
I've no idea, sorry mollykins...maybe it's from inside the machine & it's worked it's way through the drum? Do you wash men's clothes? They're pretty good at stuffing their pockets with bits of junk from cars & bikes!
It's probably going to be one of life's unsolved mysteries :o)
