You are right. I should have given more thought to a hint. Sorry. It's not easy NOT to click on, is it? I should have said the sound of the unlucky in love, or some such.

zita I am assuming you are referring to the hint you gave to
the person re the Azed puzzle?

I usually agree with my friend M from Rugby but on this occasion
I can't. The poster said that they had finished the crossword and
filled the grid, but was uncertain about the quote which didn't matter
in the context of entering the competition.
I don't really believe that you providing the author's name would have
enabled others to complete what was an advanced crossword as it
still required skill to solve all 36 clues.

Don't be too *** yourself.

Dear K, how very kind you are. When I answered the post I thought it wouldn't be much help to anyone who hadn't finished the xword but MLR was so cross I thought I had given too much information, as they say. Nice to hear from you. Hope you are well. Regards, Z
The censor on this site sees innuendo when there is none !

I closed by saying 'don't be too hard ( - ) yourself' and it decided that was a slang phrase
I don't ever remember using!

I'm well thanks zita- nice speaking to you again.
Tiza-green:
I wasn't cross, just making a comment!
I thought that by giving the writer, hence the verse, you were gifting anyone who hadn't completed with ALL of the corrected letters, so making it easier to solve.
Doesnt matter anyway, as the winners will be be "best" cluewriters!
Thanks for my new name and good luck ;-)
