Where is everybody? Or are you finding the wordplay as difficult as I did. This was a nice, easy grid fill and the alternatives and associatives were fun, but oh dear, did I struggle with the endgame! Perhaps it was so easy for you experts that you are not bothering to appear this week?

Re STOCKS which I'm happy with have a look at http://books.google.c...sses%20stocks&f=false

Still looking for 9.07 and it's 10.34
Just seen the 9.07 - do highlighted words often run in this direction?
Only when there's an R in the month.
Question Author
Yes, x-word_fan, they can run from one corner to another, or make strange circles and shapes or even represent the two sides in the House of Commonswith odd members represented - or strange stirrers going into odd pots, even odd trajectories for golf balls that curve their way into putative holes. We are relative newcomers but are learning to look in horizontal, then vertical, then diagonal diirections and finally to attempt to identify soemthing that symbolises the theme (especially when there is MysteRon´s R in the month).
Oh and Mysterons - forgot to say sorry, I did finally understand your Q reference (though embarassingly only today!) After the car badge, I thought you meant the 5-letter word was that shape!!
I did not get the paper on Saturday, could someone email me a copy, if possible? [email protected]
