I am actually employed, it's just that I am off with a foot problem, and because of the nature of my job (guess if you don't already know) I am facing forced retirement. The added irony is were it not for one of the reasons for the striking (being forced to deliver more) I'd be OK.

Well it's just a bit hard to have a postman who can't walk, and there are no other jobs to do. Well, maybe miles away there might be some (for now anyway) but financially crippling instead if I did.
