Have Sky done a recent download?

I've got 2 sky+ boxes,1 main and 1 on a multiroom and for the last 3 or 4 days the older box (a Thomson 160 box) has been going into standby during the day.
If it is left on the same channel during the day after about 3 hours it switches to standby,when I switch it back on it is still on the same channel,it hasn't defaulted to Sky channel 998.
The newer box (a Pace) is unaffected.

what have i done wrong

Hi, go into the settings on the box and you may find the same thing as I did, the setting if the box is not used for any length of time has changed. I hadn't touched a thing.

Hi, sorry I forgot to say that you can alter it so that it never turns itself off. I did it with mine and it seems to be working fine now.

Thanks shedman,altered it as per your 2nd answer and the thomson box is now staying on all day.
Why can't Sky stop messing?

Hi, it is strange that it only seems to happen to the older boxes. I have heard of other people htis has happened to and it is always the older boxes. Never mind at least it's working now.
