I love "and then there were none" and "Murder on the orient express" type of game but don't like "Death on the Nile" type. can anyone recommend anything similar to the first 2 to keep me amused.

Have you played "Evil under the Sun" by Agatha Christie as that is in the same vein as the others you mentioned. One of the best that I have played recently is "Jack the Ripper" which is quite long and involved with solving the murders. Most of the Sherlock Holmes ones are quite good as well.
