Why was I banned from contributing?

Last week there was thread on here from someone who said they'd been racially insulted in a Supermarket check-out queue. I commented that it happened all the time to my daughter and gave an example. What happened next? I was unable to take further part in the thread but don't know why. So who would be most likely to object to my comments? JNO perhaps, who always seems to be there when someone is banned?
