I have never heard that but if they are allowed they will abandon or ignore them. Our dog didn't know what to do with her first lot, she was very jealous of the attention they got.

No, but what you have to do is make sure they all get a turn, or a small puppy will constantly get forced out and get no milk, so you will have move one of the bigger ones and give it a go.
