Sorry, if this is in the wrong place. I\'m trying to find out where in Glasgow Pollock Street was situated.
It has obviously been demolished as the city has undergone renewal but was in situ in 1938 but I can\'t find out in which area it existed.

Perhaps someone from the Glasgow area might be able to help me.

Thank you in advance.

Albaqwerty, thank you for replying so quickly. My great aunt was married in 1938 at 30 Pollok Street and she, her groom and both the witnesses lived at the same address. My great aunt was a cook so I was wondering if No. 30 could have been a large house where all the members of the wedding party worked.
i grew up in shawlands (not too far away from pollochshaws/shiieds... lots of large houses in the area
just for the hand of it might get a day bus ticket next week and find out...... will let you know

Albaqwerty, thanks again. I live just outside Glasgow so I could take a run over and look for myself as I certainly wouldn't want you to be out of pocket on my account. I have been trying to find out about this aunt for some years and, without any hope of success, I applied for a marriage certificate recently and it arrived today and I was over the moon to find that I had hit the jackpot.

I am very grateful to you.
fili am on south side of glasgow!
