Hi , i would like to take me autistic son to the cinema to watch UP WITH ADVENTURE , the new disney film, but he has never been in a cinema before, im thinking of asking if we could have a look in one screen room before the film as sometimes certain places upset him. has anyone had any problems with this type of thing.xx

I've no experience with your particular problem but I have found that most cinemas are quite helpful. My own particular disability means thaI need to be in an aisle seat as I can't staighten my right leg and while it is usually no problem getting an aisle it can be with certain films at certain times but when I've explained my problem the staff have always done thier best to accomodate me. Give them a bell, explain your situation and I'm sure you'll find they'll do their best to help
Does your cinema do the cheap movies (95p) at the weekend and holiday mornings? These are usually films that have been out for a wee while and they tend to be really empty. We went to see Ice Age 3 this morning (10.45am) as the kids are off school and there was only us and 1 other family in the cinema. That way, if your son is upset, you haven't wasted a lot of money and the cinema will only have kids in it so people aren't as likely to complain about noise or disturbance - we went to the Vue, I think UCI do cheap deals as well, not sure about other chains.
kitten, I'm sure if you call in advance they'll give you a mini-tour. I hope so, anyway!

good luck, I hope your son loves it :o)
