Iv been given 21 antibiotic tablets by my doc ... But wen my dentist gave me sum 4 a infection on my gum he only gave me 15 ... Is that right wats the minimum amount ? Totally irrelivent Q just wounderd ......

Depends how often you take them. And they're probably different sorts of antibiotic. Three a day for seven days (21) sounds perfectly normal. A gum infection is probably a lot smaller and only requires five days. Whichever - make sure you finish the course, otherwise the infection might come back.

Thanks jno :-) I no u have to finish the course and I've 3 left b4 I finish but there giving me a bad stomach so I thought it woundnt hurt stopping them now seen as I had 15 from the dentist b4 ...
hi, you can mitigate the effects of a bad stomach by using actimel or similar while on the Ab's. You should finish the course, not just arbitrarily stop them. Different amount for different strengths, different infections etc. A normal course could be three days, five days, seven day, ten days - it depends on wht the presciber decides having had the benefit of seeing you (plus 10 years medical training!)
