Peace lillies and cats

Morning All,

I know it is not wise to grow lilies in the garden because the pollen can kill cats but does this also apply to the indoor peace lily ?

Yes they only have to brush against them to get the pollen on their coats. It can be fatal if they then lick it.
while we are on the subject are their any plants dog owners should avoid? It's something I've never really thought about before
Peace lillies (Spatiphyllum sp) are a totally different family to the true lillies. The former is an aroid from the Aracae familly which include cheese plants, Flamingo plants and other exotics whilst the true lillies are from the Lilliacae family.

Morning all,

Thank you so much for your help. Sorry I have not replied but I have had serious computer problems which have finally been sorted.

I am rather confused though because Hammerman said the Peace Lilly is different to the "true" lilly therefore will the peace lilly harm my cats
