I'm not sure how to spell the name of the town or village, so I'm asking is there somewhere near Norwich called something like Blislingly or Blisingly or...? Ta Muchly.

Blickling, maybe?
I live reasonably close to Norwich but I'm unaware of any place which sounds exactly like you've suggested. (Looking through a gazetteer of Norfolk place names doesn't help either).

Why are you asking? If it's because you're seeking a stately home, then it's probably Blickling that you want:

If you're trying to locate a steam museum, a celebration of the Dad's Army TV programme, or a famous centre of gardening excellence, then it's almost certainly Bressingham:

If you're after a nice pub, with a decent restaurant, offering B&B, try Brisley:

Brisley would be my best guess too Woodelf.

Do you live near Brisley Chris. I do :o)
How are you Woodelf? Are you not the very talented painter who is blind? Forgive me if I have the wrong person.

Hi Lottie, yep it's me!...smile...ye olde woodelf and thanks for the *very talented"...I don't deserve it. Anyway, you were right Mushroom and also you Chris in one of your guesses...it's Blickling and to be more precise Blickling Hall and if I don't forget it again, it's where I'm to do one of my art workshops next March...so see you there, maybe!...smile.

Hey Lottie, did you manage to get that building work done to your house?
We have got the planning permission Woodelf - after such a long struggle. Big sigh of relief. Now we have to sell the plot concerned to some wealthy developer. Wry smile.

Thanks for asking. Nice to catch up with you again. Glad you got the right answer to your question. Blicking Hall is lovely and set in wonderful countryside. It was the home of Ann Bolyn and is a magnificent tudor stately home. What a lovely place to go for an art court. It's about 15 miles from me and when I worked in schools I used to go there a lot with the children.

Big smiles all round. Hopefully, see you soon. I will look for your posts. Another big smile because I have found an old friend.

I still think you are very talented. Smile.

Hi Lottie...I was never a lost friend to be found; I'm always here...smile...but old???...well, maybe, sometimes...smile!
I hope you find a developer soo

I hit the wrong key Lottie...smile...that should have been - soon and I hope you've still managed to keep your architect under lock and key?....smile.
His job is now over Woodelf - he can disappear again if he wants. Smile. It was for outline planning permission and involved two other neighbours and their land - all very complicated. Hopefully we can sell off the land soon, but not the best time to be selling! frown.

Bye for now. See you soon hopefully. Lottie Smile.
