A friend of mine has sold a psp on ebay, she sent me an email asking for help on postage prices to Nigeria, i warned here that it could be fraud by email and told her not to send it until the money had cleared in her account but she never read it in time and sent it. The emails from paypal were spoof mail and were fearing she has lost her money and her item for good.....is there anything she can do?

Den53, sorry if not clear enough, She actually sold it on ebay

caththecrazy and stonemaveric - I thought as much, and Iwill tell her to report it......people eh, how can they be so cruel!

Thanks for your answers x
it sounds like an obvious scam to me, but I'm an old cynic and have been a fraud investigator for over 20 years!

I also think she should report it to Ebay, but I also think there will be no happy ending here.

shame.
I buy and sell on Ebay - have done for sometime now - the only spoof emails I have received have come direct to my email address not on my Ebay email account. To report spoof emails this is the address [email protected].

Like others have said - report to Ebay - they may be able to help.
