CUG DX8 error

I'm trying to run a game called Saqqarah. I have DirectX 9.0C installed Windows XP.

Everytime I try to start the game, I'll get a CUG DX8 error.

"Could not initialize the game because of problems with graphic drivers. Please make sure you are using the latest DirectX and graphic card drivers."

Any ideas? Thanks.

If you are up to date with Direct X and your graphics driver is also up to scratch then it should work, I have seen this question somewhere else, are you using a Mini 10V notebook? Maybe the graphics hardware is not up to scratch in that machine, never the less, try runnibg dxdiag from your Start button and see whether everything checks out there.

thanks, yeah ive sorted it now, just updated my driver, played me game, no i hav a old laptop 2004, but still going ok, theres other games it wil not play, i know thats the older graphics
anyway ta
