I exercise, i take iron supplements, I've had blood tests for diabetes/thyroid etc. and i eat well yet, I no longer have a social life as i cannot stay up past 9pm, i come in from work and I am physically sick with exhaustion and i look like death! I've gone from a energetic women with loads of friends and a great social life/hobbies/interets to somebody who can barely cope to answer the phone in the evenings. Has anyone any ideas? it's ruining my relationships, my quality time with my son and ultimately my life!

Are you sleeping well - quality being better than quantity - sometimes we do not get a deep enough sleep to restore us and spend eight hours dozing. Is there perhaps something that is waking you or worrying you - aside from this? Take some time off work if you can and give yourself a breather - it may be all you need is a break.

You probably have a point about sleep quality - I have a 2 year old and have spent everynight for two years either getting up to him in the night or probably selfconsciously waiting for him to wake up. I don't know what the answer is though as I cannot send him (and wouldn't want to!) Maybe I should try some sleeping tablets so they knock me out - and my partner can do some of the getting up for a change!
Im with rekstout about quality sleep, Im a night worker and know how important it is to get quality rest. I have a 3 year old and empathise with you. It sounds like your doing to much. My girlfriend looks after our daughter full time and its not easy, as such she has at least one weekend a month where she goes away and visits friends to remind herself who she is and recharge her batteries. She says this helps her no end and I notice the difference in her, it also helps me bond with our daughter as sometimes she doesn't see me for 5 days or more. My partner also enjoys yoga which helps her relax and has at least 1/2 hour in our bedroom a night after our daughter is in bed to read a book/magazine and feel like she isn't moving at a million miles an hour. You don't have to feel guilty about having time for yourself as your happiness is important and has a immediate effect on your family. Friends will always be there so just keep in touch on the phone and think that its not always going to be this hectic. Take a step back and try to relax whenever you get the opportunity. Best of luck to you nykkieberry.
Definitely the bed is a good start. Your bed should be no more than ten years old. and get some goose down pillows. You say you are taking iron supplements so there goes the next suggestion. Also certain foodstuffs affect the way you feel try to avoid eating 2 hrs before you go to bed and avoid chicken, dark chocolate, and cheese (Produces serotonin ...makes you tired and sleepy) for a while and instead go for apples and white grapes.
Do you own a cat?.... strange question I know, but some of your symptoms sound like Toxoplasmosis take a look here for more info http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/diseases/facts/toxoplas
mosis.htm
Are you suffering from stress? Are you depressed? These two things could explain the tiredness. And if you are stressed and overly anxious it could explain the physical sickness. Only an idea. Have you tried any of the herbal remedies?

Thanks for everybodies help. I am actually coming off Paroxetine after two years and I think that might be a lot to with it. I picked up on something in the enws and id some research and it would seem that withdrawel cause symptoms very akin to ME. I just hope that it ends soon as i am sick and tired of going to bed at 8pm everynight!
