Hi I do not like the current Danone ad for their drink, it shows a guy 'leap frogging' over a surprised jogger who stopped to tie his laces. it stinks of the happy slapping we are trying to eradicate. Any one agree?

Who wants to eradicate happy slapping?
Question Author
Joe Public ,most parents and victims would like to see an end to happy slapping

Happy Slapping is a funking disgrace and a "game" to partake in if you're a complete idiot with dis-regard for any human decency. What gives you the right to attack someone, in the way they do, because they look like they "deserve it".

Back to the original question though. I can definately see how the advert could be percieved like this. I'm not sure if it's a strong enough link though.

I've been dismayed by the tone of many adverts over the last few years which seem to condone or even celebrate anti-social behaviour, rudeness & bad manners. In particular the one for Horlicks ("how can you sleep at night"), the KFC mouthful ad, the Fanta spitting ad (yuk) and others I can't pinpoint right now but which show people getting away with crass behaviour. I assume the ad agencies think they're reflecting modern social life but to me they're not helping!

Yours,

Mr V Meldrew
