that they are growing up to quick and have responsibility that is far beyond their tender years
Children should not have to do the caring, there should be services in place to take the burden from them.

(ps:it is 'their' families,not 'there')
lets not get silly over spelling life is way to short daffy
mitchmoir has started a very interesting thread
zzxxee don't get condescending with me,I was being polite in my correction!

Im doing a 20 minute speech about young carers tomorrow evening, im 26 and never had any involvement with young carers at all. I recently volunteered a week with 12 young carers giving them respite.

Just keen to get more outsider opinions.
im not doing anything of the kind daffy
i was pointing out the fact that it really does not matter if people make the odd spelling mistake thats all
Good for you mitchymoir!!! That is exactly the sort of thing I meant in my first reply. :)
could you contact your local social services dept who maybe able to put you in touch with young people who care for their families to get some opinions??
zzxxee, your reply came across as if you were telling me off...like you would a child. It was VERY condescending.
it wasnt suppose to be daffy its just on here there are so many people who get picky about slight spelling mistakes and the thread often gets ruined when playground banter starts it just winds me up
