Aftereffects of swine flu?

I had swine flu a couple of weeks ago. Lasted about 8 days, and although I only vaguely noticed being short of breath while I actually had it (had some coughing fits though), about a week after it started to get better I began getting breathless. It's not too bad - I can speak in complete sentences and even sing - but can't walk too fast (though also because I get knackered if I walk too fast). It more or less went away over the weekend, but now it's back. Anyone else had the same thing after swine flu? The leg aches lingered for a while too.

Hi, haven't had swine flu but a friend of ours has and although normally a very fit person even two weeks after it she found she was exhausted just walking a few hundred yards to the doctor's for a further 'sick note'. It can take a while to get over it energy-level wise I think.
Are you sure it was swine flu? Did a GP take a swab and confirm it? If not, it could have been something else.

Yeah, not 100% sure since by the time I got it (or not) it was policy not to swab or even go to your GP with suspected swine flu unless you had an underlying condition (which I don't). I assumed it was swine flu based on the National Pandemic website and by the fact it felt like last time I had flu about 10 years ago, except at an unusual time of year.

Saw doctor today about something else and asked while I was there. He thought it might be related but doesn't think it's anything serious - gave me an inhaler to counteract the wheezing.
