Small hand painted animal figurines

Some years ago I started to collect small life-like hand-painted animal figurines which I think were made of pewter. I used to buy them from a jewellers in Monmouth. They were only about 2" high and very detailed and painted in enamels. They included a swan, kestrel, robin and such. I have accidently thrown out three of my ornaments and would very much like to replace them but I cannot find anywhere on the net that sell them. Does anyone recall these little ornaments and can anyone tell me where I might be able to buy thm. Thanks JAN

Are you sure the figurines were made of 'pewter' ?
as pewter is a metal like dark silver in colour.

am fairly certain they were pewter. Could have been silver but dont recall seeing a silver mark on them. However, they were painted in enamel paint so couldnt be sure of base colour
