i have a barclays credit card.  Its just a classic credit card. Can i apply for another barclaycard aswell?

No, but you can upgrade to a Premier Card.

Yes. I used to have a visa and mastercard, both from Barclaycard.

Just an opinion and hopefully no offence will be taken but if your up to your limit on that card, get a loan and pay it off, then pay off your card at the end of every month. A bank loan is fixed term so you'll know exactly where you are each month plus it's a better interest rate. Barclays will increase your limit soon enough once their computer picks up your doing this.
