Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I wonder how people are getting on with this one. I found that all but one of the "normal" clues fell in fairly quickly, but now I'm staring at an almost-full grid with no idea how to progress. Any thoughts on how to go about tackling the thematic material?

It took a very long time for the PDM to arrive, and when it did, it was through consideration of the associated material. Consequently, if anyone out there is still struggling with this, I would suggest considering those as well as, rather than only, the anagrams (pace midazolam).

Like Scorpius, I thought that the under-checking of 32 was a fault. I go further than CluelessJoe on the 20/6 infelicity: I don�t believe that the editor(s) should have accepted it.

I suppose the theme is coherent if it�s viewed as the non-seasonal, �non-short� output.

On a positive note, the word association was, I thought, unambiguous, good fun, and rather a challenge.
