actually i meant Tregonhawke not tergonhawke !!!
looking up cornish language TRE denotes farm so perhaps the rest is the name of the farmer or where it is situated. Not much help Im afraid but I will keep looking
Tre means homestead,
gon means down

TRE designated a place.
POL meant a Pond or pool..
Pen Stood for a Head.
EG. Arthur Pendragon. ( Arthur of the dragonshead ).
