"opportunity to go for my dream job"
Are you absolutely sure that a job offer will follow successful completion of the course? There are plenty of similar training schemes with these sort of vague promises at the end. Otherwise I would think very carefully if you want to do this.
I suspect the answer to the funding bit via government loan is 'no' but others may know more.

this is'nt some scam that gets me to fork out a load of money on the promise of a good job - ive been offerd the job by a friend of mine but i need to copmlete the course as ive no experience in the job il be getting ?
Have a look at this link. It's with a private sector bank but the government pays interest during your studies (only 7 weeks in your case, so not much help) and then you repay over 1-5 years at a rate below that charged by many lenders.

Good luck- it sounds as if you need a lot of training and I hope that you find you are cut out for this job.

I'm just curious what sort of course would cost this much? It may help us give a better answer to your query. Can you tell us? I understand though if you say it's none of my business!

it's a course that teaches you how to operate and maintain remote operated vehicles that are used in the offshore industry to monitor underwater structures / gas lines / telecoms cables etc
