Should full blooded poodles have whiskers growing on their faces?

Not sure I understand this. My family bred pedigree poodles for years and I've had pedigree standard poodles. The dogs in particular have some few, short, stiffish whiskers to the sides of the muzzle, near the nose..Is that what you mean? These get trimmed off when the face is clipped out. If you clip for a 'moustache' you can still feel them in there, in the moustache.
