Why are my Yorkie pups so destructive. HELP!!!
My two yorkie pups are fine until we both leave them alone, then all hell breaks loose, they have destroyed loads of their beds, about 10 doormats, slippers and today my sons CD collection he left in the lounge, (he does'nt know yet). Every thing just gets shredded to bits like they are punishing us for going out without them, and sometimes pee on the kitchen floor, I dont like the idea of caging them but is there an alternative solution.

Put everything out of reach. Whats wrong with a cage or puppy pen, provided you don't leave them for more than a few hours at a time.
I would far rather see them secure and safe in a crate or pen than having to be operated on to remove something they have chewed up and swallowed, of having to bury them because they have chewed threw wires and electrocuted themselves.

mine(gsp x weimaraner) always shared a cage, they are brothers too. How old are the pups? littlies will just chew everything but as they get older they do it through boredom or stress. Dogs need to be well exercised before being left, also they need to learn to be left by gradually increasing the time, ensuring that they are tired and have been to the loo and leaving them with safe entertainment, kongs are good. TBH while they are pups they shouldn't be left alone for too long anyway.
While they are young they will share and play together happily, but without wanting to be a harbinger of doom, you might find when they get older they start to fall out with each other. Two pups from one litter can often end up arguing. I would suggest getting them both castrated so there is no rivalry between them on that front.
Ours have always been good friends although they have had their little moments. One is the boss and the other who is a happy go lucky soul (and much bigger than his brother) is quite happy about this. Of course |I have made it clear from day one that I am the big boss and I don't tolerate squabbles, food or treat theft or any umpty behaviour, the punishment for which is to be put on leads and made to lie down beside each other under my eye while I read the paper and have coffee.
