I went to a dinner party last night, where I, and other guests, enjoyed
copious amounts of alcohol. I awoke this morning not feeling well, with
what could be described as flu-like symptoms; headache, nausea, chills,
sore eyes, etc.

From the results of some initial testing, I have unfortunately tested
positive for what experts are now calling Wine Flu. This debilitating
condition is very serious- and it appears this is not an isolated case.
Reports are flooding in from all around the neighbourhood of others
diagnosed with Wine Flu.

To anyone that starts to exhibit the aforementioned tell-tale signs,
experts are recommending a cup of tea and a bit of a lie down. However,
should your condition worsen, you should immediately hire a DVD and take
some Nurofen [Nurofen seems to be the only drug available that has been
proven to help combat this unusual type of flu].

Others are reporting a McDonald's Happy Meal can also help in some cases.

Wine Flu does not need to be life threatening and, if treated early, can be
eradicated within a 24-48 hour period. If not, then further application of
the original liquid in similar quantities to the original dose has been
shown to do the trick.

I think you have posted in the wrong section!
Rofl @ Steph!!

I believe I'm suffering from Mixingmycoasters - an occasional need to change drinks for no apparent reason...

So that is the cause of my mysterious malaise, thank goodness I know the reason. Shall send out for supplies immediately.

Thankyou for the timely warning Steph

Mamya
What a load of drivel this is. If people are stupid enough get drunk then they deserve everything they get. This has nothing to do with Q&P and shows yet again how the presence of a certain poster brings out the numbskulls in force. Shameful.

Lie-in King, what have you done to upset cattytron?
We normally enjoy a bit of light-hearted banter on a Sunday Morning( in between answering questions)
Does this mean we can no longer do this ?
Then go to chatterbank and do it! That is what it is there for after all! And there are some who think that chat does not happen on Q&P - you have to laugh.
Can you not 'banter' on Chatterbank' - the section set aside for 'chat' ?
Your posting wasn't there when I started typing Catron.

I don't think Mr King is at fault, as it is all the groupies who hang around on Sundays to ask him what he had for breakfast etc.
No problem, toalisi. Personally I think encouragement is given to do this, as in this thread - http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Quizzes-and-Puz zles/Question794367.html - but on the central point of keeping chat where it belongs, I agree wholeheartedly.
Steph - sorry, was at front door... to your Q, I've no idea why - "Strictly Answers Only"! Hasn't stopped the "chat" on here though...

I prefer to think of the people I exchange greetings etc with as friends, rather than "groupies" - what a silly description!

Why would anyone gets themselves in a tizz? Surely life's too short? Just don't read it.
